SEVANA VARAM 2023

As it was our most beloved Amma’s 70th birthday on 27th September, we observed a full week of service activity named ‘Sevana Varam’. It was inaugurated by Smt. Nirmala Devi, Vice President of Vallathol Grama Panchayat. Public road cleaning was done on the first day, and our students energetically participated in cleaning activity.

On the second day of Sevana Varam, students of classes VIII to X aligned together in cleaning the premises of Karoor Sreekrishna Temple. We were also successful in planting divine pooja flower saplings, lit chirads or earthen lamps in the temple, and sang bhajans.

On the third day an anti-drug campaign was conducted. A speech was given by Aaradhya of Class III, and students of classes V to VIII took part in a cycle rally against drugs.

On the fourth day, students of classes V to VIII visited an old age home, Abhayam, and provided essential groceries to the inmates. Cultural programmes were performed by our students. The entire event was a wonderful experience as students spent a lot of time with the residents of the home, and carried with them memories to be cherished always.

Grocery kit distribution was conducted on the fifth day. The event was inaugurated by Raghavan Master, Retd. Head Master, and Sri Suresh, a devotee of Amma addressed the gathering. We distributed grocery kits to 15 poor and needy families in the neighbouring areas of the school on this auspicious day.
